Hi there! Welcome to CG Sew Co. My passion is giving historic, rescued vintage quilts a thoughtful second life. Every bag, sling, and wearable jacket I sew is handcrafted with intention from authentic American quilts that have stood the test of time.
Many of the quilts I find have worn edges or frayed bindings that make them unusable on a bed, but inside them are incredible hand-quilted starbursts, Dresden plate petals, and sweet 1930s-1970s calicos that deserve to be seen and celebrated rather than packed away in an attic.
By stabilizing the historic textiles, preserving original hand-stitched detailing, and constructing each piece with sturdy cotton webbing, antique brass hardware, and durable linings, I create wearable heirlooms designed for everyday adventures.

Every vintage quilt is gently examined, laundered with restorative care, and evaluated for sturdy patchwork segments.
Mapping & Stabilizing
Each bag pattern is custom-laid over focal points like starbursts and Dresden rings, reinforced with stabilizing interfacing.
Assembly & Hardware
Finished with secure cotton webbing, eyelet trims, and metal zips, topped with the official CG Sew Co. woven label.
